Rooftop Restaurants In Atlanta

BY: D’ANNA NICOLE

It’s that time of year again. The days are breezy, and the nights are balmy. And we all know what that means…patios and drinks. The perfect combination to help ease us into the cold winter months ahead. And what better way to take advantage of these perfect fall days than enjoying rooftop patios around the city.

I’ve done some leg work and have compiled a list of some amazing locations around the city!

St. Julep

This is a relatively new rooftop located in Buckhead near East Paces Ferry Rd., on top of the Kimpton Sylvan hotel.  The ambiance here is a whimsical combination of 70s décor with a dash of beach house vibes.  The cocktail options are amazing and relatively comparable to any other spot you might find in the area.  My personal favorite is the Ms. Jackson (frozen).  Now, we won’t have too many more warm days to enjoy frozen cocktails, SO I highly recommend sliding over there before the season expires!  The chances of feeling cramped are slim to none as the patio has two bar areas, one located as soon as you walk in (which is covered) and another on the other side of the patio.  This is the perfect spot for weekend cocktails with friends!

American Cut / The Regent Cocktail Club

If you have been in Atlanta long enough, then you have heard of The Regent Cocktail Club.  Located above the American Cut steakhouse, this spot is a classic rooftop location for Atlantans.  Whether they are having an event or providing live music, the vibe at The RCC is always reliably enjoyable! The size of this patio is also fairly large but depending on the day of the week or during events, it can get pretty packed.  The drinks are refreshing, and the small bites are amazing. *cough*cough* The big marc sliders are a MUST. You will not regret it.  With the RCC being in the heart of Buckhead Village District (formally know as Shops of Buckhead) it’s a prime location to end or start your night!

Estrella

Located on the beltline, this rooftop patio is perfect for people watching and chill vibes! Estrella has one of the best views from the beltline.  Providing a full unobstructed view of the Atlanta Skyline, this place is perfect for food, drinks, and a mini photoshoot.  I mean let’s be real, we all love a good moment with the perfect backdrop.

Now! On to the important stuff…food and drink options!  Estrella serves Latin American tapas that are sure to whet your appetite.  Now being a true Atlantan, I did try the wings and was pleasantly surprised!  Not being a tequila drinker (I KNOW – insert eye roll emoji), I opted for the red sangria, which was mixed to perfection!

Habitat

Now if you are familiar with the Buckhead area, you will know that this place used to be the old Bar Botanico rooftop restaurant.  Located on Pharr Rd, This little gem is tucked away in one of the strip plazas and could be missed if you don’t know what you’re looking for.  If you were a Botanico fan, don’t fret as the vibe is the same and the plethora of food and drink options, maintain the same Latin American fair as its predecessor.

Hotel Clermont (rooftop)

This revamped downtown lounge rooftop is sooooo cute and perfectly nestled between Downtown and Midtown, making it the ideal starting or ending location for a night out! Clermont provides another one of the best views of the Atlanta skyline.  What I love about this rooftop patio is the fact that their drinks are seasonal!  So, as the weather gets colder, the menu adapt’s, allowing their customers to still enjoy the ambiance of their patio no matter the temperature.  The sleek and retro décor of the hotel makes you feel as if you’ve stepped into a scene from The Great Gatsby, which is a sign that you’ll have a great time. If you’re up for experiencing seasonal cocktails with friends while enjoying the views Atlanta has to offer, then this is one rooftop patio you want to add to your list.

Now for a super laid-back vibe but bussin seafood this Atlanta staple is a must visit.  Whether you’re going during your lunch hour or if you need to unwind after a rough week, Six Feet Under is the ideal spot to kick back, chill with friends and catch a game.  Their rooftop patio has a full-service bar where you can sit first come first serve or wait to be seated at one of the tables.  Located in Grant Park, this is another perfect spot in a walkable area.  For those looking to experience a more casual environment you won’t be disappointed!

From casual to fancy to working professional, Atlanta has something for everyone.

Enjoy the food!  Enjoy the boos! And enjoy the Views ;)
