Award-winning Chef Jacoby "J" Ponder is always cooking up new ideas to further his brand. From TV appearances and competitions to social media and YouTube, Ponder has turned his in-demand talents into a successful career. His new cookbook SUPPER will be available soon, and he offers cooking classes.

Celebrity Chef Jacoby "J" Ponder is no stranger to stress in the kitchen, but one thing he doesn't stress over is trying new things. After landing a spot on CHOPPED's May 2013 Military Salute episode as the only Navy veteran on the show, where he was runner-up, Ponder realized the potential of using TV appearances and social media to further his already hot career. This led to his appearance on the September 2015 episode of Cutthroat Kitchen and becoming the uncontested champ.

Ponder didn't just let his TV appearances talk for him; he did his own research in the business world as well and came up with his own business plan. With his knowledge, expertise, and publicity, Ponder successfully launched his own business as a personal private chef now has an A-list clientele. Now lauded as "trendsetter," Ponder's work emphasizes his individuality and creativity, both in and out of the kitchen.

Before he made his way onto TV, was a Culinary Specialist in the Navy. became the in-demand chef among admirals and catered functions for profile military officers, prestigious military command, and political officials during his ten year service in the Navy. After integrating back into civilian life, he gained his bachelor's degree from the Culinary Institute of Virginia (ECPI University) and began his career in the food industry.

His current endeavors include culinary classes such as the Couples Cooking Classes, and the release of his new cookbook SUPPER is just on the horizon.

Chef Jacoby "J" Ponder is an award-winning celebrity private chef, food entrepreneur, and Navy veteran. He is the founder of FireSyde Chef & Co. and Chef Ponder & Co., which employs a talented team of chefs from Hampton Roads Virginia and Atlanta.
