It is no secret that Buckhead is soaring to new heights with an extraordinary level of service from a couple new additions including; Thompson Hotel by Hyatt Hotels, Brassica, Waldorf Astoria’s new French inspired restaurant, The Dillion luxury residences, the soon to open Ferrari Store at Lenox Mall and more!
But the latest anticipation of a new luxury hotel and Japanese restaurant opening Q3 of 2022 in the Reimagined Phipps Plaza has everyone talking!
If you frequent Phipps Plaza, you may have noticed that the iconic Nobu brand signage went up earlier this year further driving anticipation!
Nobu Hotel & Restaurant Atlanta by Nobu Hospitality, the global luxury lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, has partnered with Simon Property Group to launch their first Georgia location, intuitively blending its hotel and restaurant as one – with 150 rooms, a striking rooftop pool, corporate conference space and spa facilities. Nobu Atlanta restaurant, revered for its signature new style Japanese cuisine, will operate in a 10,000 square foot space.
The hotel and restaurant are part of a larger redevelopment at Phipps Plaza. The former Belk department store was demolished to make way for a mixed-use project which calls for a unique, curated dining experience, a 90,000 square-foot Life Time® Athletic, and a 12-story Class A office building.
Back in April, The Luxe List Atlanta team was invited by developers to the “topping out” (installation of the final piece of structure) of the Novelis office building and ground zero tour of Nobu!
Taking 90,000 square feet throughout 3 floors that overlook Nobu, Novelis, the world leader in aluminum rolling and recycling is excited to continue to “drive sustainability and promote collaboration” in their new global headquarters, mentioned Novelis CEO Steve Fisher.
“Phipps Plaza is a world-recognized shopping center. A lot of people come into Atlanta, given the airport and the hub. They connect here and they stop here, with the trend growing as the city becomes even more hospitable to global companies like Novelis.
